The Multicultural Centre of the Yukon welcomes newcomers to the Yukon. Our services are available to assist in the settlement and integration of immigrants and refugees into the social, economic, cultural and political life of their new community. We offer assistance and programs in the areas of settlement services, language instruction, employment services including foreign credential recognition and community networking.
As a board member of the Canadian Tourism Human Resource Council for twelve years, Ms. Doerksen has extensive experience and knowledge with labour force development, particularily as it translates directly to the Yukon's needs. Ms. Doerksen is extensively involved in the Yukon's Labour Market Framework Strategy which include Immigration, Comprehensive Skills and Trades Training, Labour Market Information and Recruitment and Retention.
She helps newcomers navigate the Canadian systems including start up businesses and foreign credential recognition.
