    Our Commitment

ECO Canada promises to build on the expertise it has developed over the past decade (and more) and continue to grow in both the services it provides and its responsiveness to its practitioner, employer, educator, and student clients.

The ECO Canada Environmental Immigrant Bridging Program is designed for internationally trained professionals with skills that align with the environmental sector.  This program enables individuals to bridge the cultural knowledge gap and proactively address barriers to employment. The Environmental Immigrant Bridging Program consists of 120 hours of in-class training designed by ECO Canada and industry stakeholders to provide training related to essential skills, the Canadian professional workplace culture and the sector-specific language necessary to bridge the gap between your international experience and the Canadian context.  Following training, students will participate in work exposure opportunities that could include attending lectures by industry representatives, mentorship opportunities, informational interviews, networking opportunities, and volunteer opportunities.

ECO Canada is looking to partner with more Immigrant Serving Agencies in the delivery of our Environmental Immigrant Bridging Program.  Partner organizations are required to obtain operational funding to cover the costs of running the program (including the licensing fee for the curriculum), adhere to specific facility and equipment requirements, and hire or provide qualified staff including a program instructor, program coordinator, and a career counselor.  For more information in becoming a partner organization please visit http://www.eco.ca/public/services/projects-in-development/bridging-agencies...
